Producing quarterly reporting without the quarter end scramble

We identify where AI removes cost and where it quietly adds risk.

Every engagement begins with a scoping conversation. If a smaller package is the right starting point, we will say so.

Overview

Quarterly reporting consumes a disproportionate share of the investor relations calendar. Performance data is collected, portfolio company updates are chased, commentary is drafted, figures are checked, the compliance team reviews, partners comment, and the whole package is assembled under deadline pressure that recurs with complete predictability four times a year.

The content of these reports is largely structured and repeatable. What varies is the numbers, the portfolio developments and the market commentary. The assembly work around that variation absorbs weeks of skilled time that produces no differentiated value for investors.

The Strategy

Report structure, standing language and data sources are defined once. AI then assembles each quarter's package from the underlying record: performance figures pulled directly from the administration system, capital account movements calculated per investor, portfolio company metrics drawn from collected reporting, and draft commentary generated from the actual period movements rather than from last quarter's text lightly edited.

Portfolio and market commentary is drafted rather than dictated. The system produces a first version grounded in the quarter's real developments, which the responsible partner edits and approves. Every figure in the document is traceable to its source, so review becomes verification rather than reconstruction, and variance against the prior period is highlighted automatically for explanation.

Results Driven

The reporting cycle compresses substantially, and the pressure shifts from assembly to judgement. Partners spend their review time on what the commentary says rather than on whether the numbers tie, and reports reach investors earlier in the quarter, which is itself a visible marker of operational quality.

Consistency across vehicles and share classes improves, bespoke reporting obligations under side letters become far cheaper to service, and the team stops losing several weeks of each quarter to a process that repeats identically.
